Mary Katherine Dunston
Mary Katherine's cake career began in 2006 with a Pittsburgh Steeler's helmet and she hasn't looked back since. She launched her own custom cake and cupcake business, Cake Madam, in 2009. As Cake Madam, Mary Katherine not only created one of a kind custom cakes for weddings, showers and birthdays, but also supplied several area restaurants with her delicious cakes to feature on their menus. She loves to incorporate her extensive bartending experience into the desserts she makes and will be featuring some of her best "boozy batter" flavored cupcakes in our daily specials. When not making amazing sweets, MK enjoys spending time with her three children.
Growing up in Arkansas, Courtney always had a creative brain. She moved to Memphis to attend Memphis College of Art. Courtney worked at Ben & Jerry's while she was a student and learned to decorate ice cream cakes while there. She graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's in fine arts and soon got a job working at renowned local cake shop, Miss Muff'n. Under the tutelage of Miss Muff'n owners Elizabeth Garland and Lieu Nguyen, Courtney learned many of her decorating techniques. She has refined her craft into making edible art that is as beautiful and creative as it is delicious.
Caroline has been working in advertising and marketing since her first gig in New York at Hampel Stefanides, in 1997. Caroline enjoys promoting the fabulous cakes and cupcakes created by MK and Courtney because, with their elegance and delightful flavor, they practically sell themselves. She delights in watching customer's eyes light up when they first see the cake they dreamed of made into reality. She also loves the smiles on her daughter's faces when she brings cupcakes home at the end of the day.
